Derin Demirsoy Has Returned With Good Results from Roosendaal
Derin Demirsoy who has represented Turkey in many international arenas this year and who has also been training in SIEC since summer 2008, placed 1st with his 9 year-old bay gelding Surprise at 1.30m class (2 phases) in a field of 80, mostly professional riders in Roosendaal (Netherlands) Kerst Benefiet Concours 2008 Show which was held in Hippisch Centrum Den GOUBERG.

Derin participated with Trendy, Surprise and Pasjan between 12-14 October in Kerst Benefiet Concours 2008 Show and he was qualified with his three horses for the finals on Sunday.
With Trendy in M class (1.20m) he had two clear rounds in the qualifiers and had 1 down on the final day.,
Derin on Surprise competed in Z class (1.30) and the very first day he won the class and qualified for the final on Sunday.
With Pasjan in Junior Cup(1.35m) Derin got 1 time penalty and placed 9th. He also qualified for the final.
Derin and Surprise had 8 penalties in the jump-off on Sunday in the Grand Prix (1.35m-1.40m) and placed 7th in between 51 top riders of the class.
With Pasjan he completed Grand Prix in the 10th place with 1 time penalty.

SIEC Team participated in the last show of the season D-Smart which was held in KG&CC between 22nd -23rd of November. Cagri was the winner of the senior class on Sunday with S.I.E.C. Boomerang. In the jump off Cagri had a clear round in fastest time and took the last trophy of the season. Ugur Yilmaz was the second and Serra Onkal is the 3rd of the class.

The second leg will be in between 15-16 November at SIEC Bosphorus Arena including pole training, 30cm-60cm-80cm in optimum time and a costume competition. At the show jumping competition which was held in Adana Equestrian Center, Syrian riders dominated the private cups of Adana show. At one of the biggest cup in Adana, Syrian riders Moughieth Shehab, Shadi Grrayheb and Vasim Anzarati shared the top three rankings in 1.30m class. At the Discovery Nations Cup which was organized by South African National Equestrian Federation, Cagri Basel, Derin Demirsoy, Mert Emiroglu, and Yusuf Huysal competed in Discovery Nations Cup for Turkey. SIEC Team rider Hasan Senturk on S.I.E.C. Concept finished 1.40m class, where 76 riders competed, in the 2nd place after Rudi Helsen from Belgium. On the first day of the 4 star show, Hasan Senturk had a clear round in the immediate jump-off but he wasn’t fast enough to beat the time that the Belgium rider had. National Junior Team of Turkey won Team Championship yesterday in Dressage Balkan Championship 2008 which will last on Sunday at S International Equestrian Center. He speaks French, Spanish, and English and has two kids. He studied in (Elementary) Charles De Gaulle School (Paris) (High School) Sacré Coeur School (Aix en Provence) and graduated from the University Honoré de Balzac, Child and Sport Psychology Studies.
