Sevil Sabanci 3rd in Winter League
This weekend (17-18 January), at KG&CC, Sevil Sabancı competed with S.I.E.C. Prefero, S.I.E.C. Comet and S.I.E.C. Lewis Cypher in Winter League (1.10m) organised by KG&CC. With S.I.E.C. Prefero, Sevil Sabanci placed 3rd after a clear round in the jump-off in 35,62 sec. Kaan Demirag on Snow White took the first place with 31.11 sec and Buket Tarhan on Picasso Z in 34,45 sec.

In D-Smart League (1.20m) Sevil Sabanci rode S.I.E.C. Comet and qualified for the jump-off. She finished the firts leg of the League in 8th place. Deniz Berk on Calvin became the winner and Tahsin Azizagaoglu on Pjort placed second. Emre Baloglu on Baly Hoo 3 finished the first league in the 3rd place.
Turkish Equestrian Sport Welcomes The New Season with Winter League 2009
The very first competition of the season 2009 was held in KG&CC this weekend. On Saturday classes from 70cm to 130cm were held to make the riders ready for the next day on which the first legs of the different leagues held.
At the first League of Sunday, in Pony Classes Kiara Butrosoglu on Nikita won the trophy. Yasemin Surek from KG&CC took the second place and Dorina Drowniak placed 3rd at Mövempick League.

Derin Demirsoy is qualified for the jump-off in junior cup and compeleted the course with a clear round. He placed 3rd in Holland Junior Cup. With Surprise and Rusty, on 15th of January in 1.30m class qualified for the jump-off and placed 7th with Surprise. Rusty and Derin dropped the last fence in the jump-off.

SIEC Team participated in the last show of the season D-Smart which was held in KG&CC between 22nd -23rd of November. Cagri was the winner of the senior class on Sunday with S.I.E.C. Boomerang. In the jump off Cagri had a clear round in fastest time and took the last trophy of the season. Ugur Yilmaz was the second and Serra Onkal is the 3rd of the class.

At the show jumping competition which was held in Adana Equestrian Center, Syrian riders dominated the private cups of Adana show. At one of the biggest cup in Adana, Syrian riders Moughieth Shehab, Shadi Grrayheb and Vasim Anzarati shared the top three rankings in 1.30m class. At the Discovery Nations Cup which was organized by South African National Equestrian Federation, Cagri Basel, Derin Demirsoy, Mert Emiroglu, and Yusuf Huysal competed in Discovery Nations Cup for Turkey. Oguz Dalmis rode also for Turkye individually at the show in Midrand. The chef D’equipe was Mr. Cedric Triolet for he weekend.

On the first day of the 4 star show, Hasan Senturk had a clear round in the immediate jump-off but he wasn’t fast enough to beat the time that the Belgium rider had.
