Sunday 27th of May was the final day of the Turkish Equestrian Championships, hosted by the TBF at Kemer G&CC. SIEC team riders and members competed in all 5 Finals held during the day. Congratulations to all who achieved some excellent results over the course of the day. In the Children's Category Elif Gules riding Valentin finished a close second. This was a very pleasing effort from Elif who continues to show improvement since her recent arrival at SIEC. Aylin Yildiz, riding Lamentos, showed that her win at the Istanbul Regional Championships was no fluke by claiming first prize in the Junior category. Aylin was also through to the jump off with her other horse Lucky Lynn, but did not have to jump the mare against the clock as she was in an unassailable position.

Another recent arrival at SIEC, Gunes Sarmat riding Domingo, was victorious in the Young Riders final. This was an excellent performance from a talented young rider who continues to improve. Talya Hakim riding Ramiro and Cagri Basel riding SIEC Interlude finished second and fourth respectively in this final. Well done to all three of our young competitors.

SIEC Head Coach and team rider Serra Onkal finished off a spectacular performance from the SIEC riders by dominating the Seniors Championship on SIEC Janico. This new partnership showed flair and scope on their way to the winners rosette,and Serra showed all her pupils the correct way to win a class with an accurate, rhythmical round.This is the first time in the history of the Turkish Equestrian Federation that a lady rider is the holder of the Senior Riders Championship.

Well done to all involved, especially our coaches and grooms, who worked so hard to achieve these excellent results.
