IRELAND'S Cameron Hanley improved his opening day tally of two sixth places at Lisbon, Portugal when he racked up two thirds today (Friday).
The 35 year-old Mayo-born rider slotted SIEC Alienne in behind the Netherland's Maikel van der Vleuten and Belgian winner Parrik Spits in the 1m40 speed class, and later took another third with SIEC Caro Ass in the 1m45 competition.
Hanley will line out last to jump in the Irish Nations' Cup team doing battle at Lisbon on Sunday, riding SIEC Concept, while Chef d'Equipe Paraic Geraghty has selected the first three combinations to jump as
follows:
Heritage Transmission; Marion Hughes
Johnny De La Haye; Denis Coakley
Mo Chroi (ISH); Capt. David O'Brien
The draw for team jumping order will be take place on Saturday night.
